Hello, I'm Honami

I'm originally from Japan and now live in Sion, Switzerland, where I run Paper County from my small home studio.

Paper County is a small independent shop filled with Japanese stationery, colourful glass cups, tote bags and thoughtful finds chosen to bring a little joy to everyday moments.

A new chapter for Paper County

Paper County began before me, and in the summer of 2024 I had the opportunity to take over the small business from a friend.

At the time, the shop already offered stationery, glass cups and tote bags. I loved the idea behind it and decided to keep the products customers already enjoyed, while slowly giving Paper County a more personal direction of my own.

Since then, I've continued adding new designs to our glass cup and tote bag collections and gradually reshaped the rest of the shop around the things I genuinely love and want to share.

Bringing a little of Japan to Switzerland

Being from Japan, introducing Japanese stationery felt like a natural next step for Paper County.

I've always loved how Japanese stationery can be practical, beautifully designed and just a little bit cute at the same time. I wanted to bring more of those products to Switzerland — including popular stationery, matcha and other finds that are not always easy to discover here.

I personally look for items that feel special: good quality, useful, cheerful and a little different from what you find everywhere else.

Things chosen to brighten your day

Today, Paper County brings together Japanese stationery and finds, handcrafted glass cups, hand-pressed tote bags, designer stationery and thoughtful gifts.

Whether you're shopping for a birthday, a teacher, a friend or simply something for yourself, I hope Paper County becomes one of those little shops you come back to when you’re looking for something fun, useful and a bit unusual.

More than just an order

Because Paper County is a very small business, I personally prepare and pack each order from my home studio in Switzerland.

I like adding little details and small surprises where I can, and I take my time putting everything together. I want opening your Paper County parcel to feel like more than simply receiving something you bought online — hopefully, it feels a little special.

Thank you for being here

Every order supports a very small independent business and allows me to continue sharing things I love from Japan, alongside the colourful creations and finds that make Paper County what it is today.

Thank you for being part of it.
